No matter your age, the zoo will always be a great place to visit. Yesterday, I not only got to revisit one of my favorite childhood places, Riverbanks Zoo, but I also got to see it all through the eyes of my daughter for the first time. She had such fun looking at all of the animals and people there. She was amazed at the bright pink flamingos, shouting “pink” and pointing back to her own pink shoes. Her eyes would get wide whenever she heard the seals barking. She just stared amazed at the giant size of the elephants, and kept trying to get the monkeys to come over to her by calling them the same way she calls our dogs at home. When she wasn’t being drawn in by the excitement of the animals she was saying “hey” and “bye-bye” to all the people passing by and shouting “baby” every time she saw a stroller. I was able to document the day with just my iphone. So while these may not be the “best” photographs I’ve ever taken, they will always be a memory I hold dear in my heart as Anna’s first zoo trip! Shout out to my best friend Katie for coming along and sharing this fun adventure with us! Strollers and one year olds are so much easier to manage with a friend! Thanks for a great day Riverbanks, you never disappoint!
