Kaitlyn and Reed Coker Wedding

Hi everyone! I hope everyone’s summer is going well. I have been really enjoying maternity leave. My sweet boy is growing way too fast and I feel like time is flying by. This week he will be seven weeks old and I just can’t believe it. I will not be back from maternity leave until the first of September officially. However, I am doing a few smaller sessions in August to kind of warm back up to shooting full time. This week I will be posting about a Back to School Mini  Session I will be hosting at my studio about mid August. Before I come back I wanted to show some of my weddings off that I’ve been shooting this year and I’m going to kind of go backwards. Kaitlyn and Reed Coker were the most recent wedding photographed. Kaitlyn has been the most easy-going bride. She is a sweetheart through and through. I will never forget their engagement pictures. It was probably one of the coldest sessions I have ever taken. It was an early winter morning in Georgetown and with that wind coming off that water it was even colder than the thermometer read. Both Kaitlyn and Reed were such good sports and did anything I asked them to do. It didn’t matter that it felt like it was freezing outside. I remember the day that I called Kaitlyn up and told her that I had something to tell. I was pregnant and due right at the same time as her wedding. I told her that she was more than welcome to go look for another photographer to shoot her wedding. I completely understood if she wanted a different photographer but if she wanted to stay with me I would make sure that I had someone that would cover it and would be my back up just in case. She was so excited for me and Benjamin and she said that she wouldn’t want anyone else to be a part of this special time, so we would take that chance. And then it happened. Benjamin arrived two days before Kaitlyn and Reed’s wedding. So the back up plan came in to play. I was a little devastated I didn’t get to be part of such a special day for two special people. Kaitlyn was a stunning bride and photographing her bridal portrait was definitely in my top five favorite sessions. It was a windy day in Charleston and not ideal for bridal portraits, but once again Kaitlyn was a trooper. Even though I didn’t get to photograph Reed and Kaitlyn’s big day, I wanted to show you guys just a glimpse of their special day and of course some of her beautiful bridal portraits. Thank you Reed and Kaitlyn for trusting me as your photographer, and thank you for being such great clients. I hope to continue to document your happily ever after for years to come!
