Amber and James Buddin Wedding

If you guys haven’t figured it out yet, I have a lot of weddings that I haven’t blogged. Pregnancy will do that to you! But I want to share them because they’re so beautiful! Weddings are actually one of my favorite things to shoot. I love helping tell people’s stories on their wedding day through pictures. I love the excitement and the love and even the chaos in the moments when things don’t go as planned. Like at this wedding where the groom’s tie wasn’t the right color. We showed up to the church to do the groom and groomsmen pictures and all the guys were putting on their ties and low and behold there were not enough ties and we had to go find one. But you know what, at the end of the day, the bride and the groom were still madly in love and married.  Things like this that happen at weddings make the stories that people tell for years to come. I loved working with Amber she was another bride that would just go with the flow and trusted my vision. Her mom and her were just so easy-going and laid-back. Her wedding was very classy. She had some of the most beautiful floral arrangements I had ever seen. Everywhere you looked there were beautiful flowers draped here and there. Amber’s dress was very traditional with a scalloped laced veil. Some of my favorite pictures from the day were after the ceremony at the venue with her veil blowing in the wind along this driveway of oak trees. There were some really sweet details that showcased the couple’s likes such as the dog treats favors for people to take home to their dogs. Amber has a sweet fur baby that I photographed during their engagement shoot. I was personally thankful for those as I have three dogs of my own at home. The rest of the evening consisted of having a good time, dancing the night away and white confetti poppers. One bit of advice I would give to other couples out there on their wedding day is to do like this couple did. Have a “faux” exit when all of your guests are still at your venue (and not filtering out as the night goes on) and you not only get great pictures with lots of your guests but you can also relax and not have to stress your departure time later on.
